Westminster Board Members
Throughout my career, my priorities have focused on children, community, and the environment that supports us all. I believe that serving on the school board is both an honor and a responsibility. I was first elected to the Westminster School Board in 2016.
An educator and organizational executive by background, my work spans from local to national and international. It delights me daily that my two grandchildren are students at the Westminster Center School.
I've been a teacher and teacher educator for over 30 years - in almost all the grades K-12. I am proud to offer my experience and support to the teachers and administrators who give their best for Westminster students year in and year out. I'm committed to helping them make our schools safe, challenging and enjoyable places for our children.
I am honored to serve on the Westminster Board. I ran for this position because I am a strong supporter of excellent public school education. Earlier in my teaching career, I taught 4th and 5th graders on the southern border of California. Access to excellent affordable education for all is so important for our citizenry!
As an educator myself, I feel grateful to represent the voters of Westminster on the school board. Education of the young people in our community is our strongest tool in building a strong and healthy community now and for future generations. I am deeply committed to education, and look forward to working with the learners, educators and public in this role.
I have always been interested and compelled by local community politics. I was raised in a small town in Alaska by my mother who was a teacher and have witnessed firsthand the beautiful ways in which we can come together to make things happen. Excellent education is among my top priorities so I am honored to continue to serve on the School Board for Westminster. My husband and I have two young children and are excited to see them grow up in this wonderful community with a truly special school.
