Congratulations to Grace for completing the 40,000 page reading challenge! It was fun to celebrate this milestone. Thank you to all the students and their parents who help record pages read and return logs to school. Heather Edwards is appreciated for her coordination of the Reading Challenge the last several years. Well done!
We had a wonderful turnout and great weather for the after school hike. Many thanks to Christine Armiger for leading the way over the Vermont Academy trails. Thank you also to the many parents and teachers who participated. That allowed for a variety of speeds on the part of our students. The students enjoyed the activity and it was a good way to kick off Screen Free Week.
Our students enjoyed the opportunity to visit the StarLab on Monday.
It was an exciting experience. The weather was great so we could eat lunch outdoors. We were glad that several parents came to visit and join a presentation. Students will receive their books this week. The StarLab, books, and snacks were provided by Title 1 Parent Engagement funds.
Our students in grades 3 and 4 completed the English Language Arts portions of the SBAC testing the week of March 25 – 29. After a week’s break, they will complete the Mathematics portions during days of April 8-12. Thank you for supporting your child by helping him or her get enough restful sleep, eating well and staying hydrated. We are proud of our students’ efforts.
