Welcome New Teachers!

We have two new classroom teachers.  Ms. Gauding is teaching Kindergarten and Ms. Manning is teaching reading to all students in grades 3 and 4.  She is also the grade 4 writing teacher, social studies, and homeroom teacher.  (Grade 4 students will have Mrs. Douglass for math and science.  Mrs.Douglass will also teach science to all grade 3 students, and Mrs. Bazin will teach grade 3 math and writing.  Third graders will have social studies with their homeroom teacher.)

Mrs. Monahan will be teaching reading.  Ms. Wells is our PE teacher.  Mrs. Audet is our school nurse on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Ms. Stack will be our Title 1 teacher.

We are very excited about our new team members and how they will help all our students be successful.  We are counting the days until school begins.

Classroom Visitation

Our first day of school is a full day for all students on Wednesday, August 30. We are hoping for great weather and will meet on the playground for line-up at 8:18. Please do not arrive before 8 AM. Dismissal is at 3 PM.

Come meet new teachers and visit the classrooms on Monday, August 28th from 3-4 PM. We look forward to seeing all of our returning students and families, and meeting new ones.

And another school year comes to a close!

What a great year of school! We had lots of fun with our SIDEWALK theme.
Best wishes to our fourth grade students who are moving up. We also send best wishes to those faculty members leaving us this year ~ Miss Smallheer, Mrs. Loverde, Mrs. Buckley, Marjorie Block, Maggie Kaiser, and Mrs. Ballou.
Have a fantastic summer and READ, READ, READ!!! First day of school is August 30th.

Last Day of School

We are planning to have scheduled activities at the Rec and hope that the thunderstorms stay away until summer vacation has started for our students. Come ready for fun!  Cookout starts at 12 noon.

Walk or ROLL to School!

Please join us on Wednesday, June 14th, the last Wednesday of the school year.  We will meet outside the Village Market at 8 AM.  You may roll to school if you bring a scooter, bike or roller skates/blades.  If you are rolling, you must wear a helmet please.

We hope to have a great turnout!  SIDEWALK is the word.

Welcome new teachers!

The Rockingham School Board has approved the hiring of several teachers who will join our staff in August.  We are looking forward to working with Mrs. Monahan as our reading specialist.  She is a true doctor of reading!  Mrs. Audet will join Nurse Jen in our Nurse’s office.  She is an experienced school nurse.  Ms. Gauding will be our kindergarten teacher.  She has been working in a K classroom in South Burlington this school year.

Stay tuned for more additions!

How did it get to be June?

We were excited to meet new Kindergarten students on May 26th.  The grade 4 class is returning from their overnight trip to Boston this afternoon.  Many classes have been on a wonderful field trip, and we survived the delayed opening due a power outage.

SIDEWALK continues to be the word.  We are almost ready to start counting the days to the Saxtons River Rec Day on June 19th.  That is our last day of school and it will be a full day.  Let’s hope for great summer weather on that day.

The Grade 4 Moving Up Program is planned for Wednesday, June 14th at 5:30.

Please return all library books.  Report cards will come home on June 16th if all obligations are met.

Enjoy this beautiful time of year!

Nancy Erickson

Looking ahead

School will be closed for Spring vacation April 17 -21. We hope everyone has a great break and comes back ready to finish the year strong.
Last day of school is Monday, June 19th.

SRES Concert!

Our Spring Concert is next Thursday April 6

Bellows Falls Union High School Auditorium

6:30 PM

All students play a huge role in this exciting evening. It is very important that every student attends our special night!

ARRIVAL TIME: Audience members, including students, will not be allowed into the auditorium until 6:10 PM. If you are there early, we ask that you please wait in the hall outside of the auditorium. This allows time for concert set-up. All students should stay with whomever brought them until they are called to their spots by Mrs. Daigneault (around 6:25).

CONCERT DRESS: This concert is based on our All-School S.I.D.E.W.A.L.K. theme. We would love everyone to wear shirts with our school color, which is blue. This could be a solid blue shirt of any shade, blue plaid, blue polka dots, blue print, blue stripes, etc. We would love a sea of blue! Shirts without a picture or sports logo are best. Please select something from existing wardrobes, as close to blue as possible. Please do not go out and buy something special! The most important thing is that every child attends (not the color of their shirt!).

CONCERT SHOES: Comfortable! No slippery heels, please. All students will be walking up and down steps. Some will be going back and forth on stage. It is very important that shoes are appropriate for this purpose.

Bring all of your friends and relatives! This event has no admission fee.

We have been working very hard on our concert for months. We are VERY excited for
this concert! It is going to be a FABULOUS evening! See you there!

Mrs. Daigneault, Music Educator (alisa.allbeedaigneault@wnesu.com)

P.S. Our All-School Dress rehearsal will be on the same day during the morning hours of school. Students will be out of the building and return sometime before lunch.
