Candy Bar Bingo

Everyone had a HOT time at Candy Bar Bingo. Every child was a winner and enjoyed selecting from a great variety of candy bars. Pick-up went smoothly. Thank you, parents and staff, for lots of support for this fun after school activity.  Keep up the good SCREEN FREE habits.

SCREEN FREE WEEK April 30 – May 4

We encourage all families to go SCREEN FREE.  Students can double the reading pages count for Reading Challenge on the special form sent home.

There are two after school activities planned.  On Monday, there is a hike on the VA trails from 3-4 PM.  We need parent volunteers for this activity to be successful.  Thank you to those parents who have already volunteered and who promptly returned the sign up sheet.  Parent pick-up is behind the school for this event.

Wednesday is Candy Bar Bingo,  Students need to bring a candy bar to play.  No parent volunteers are needed for this activity.  Parent pick-up is in front of the school following the game.

Thank you for meeting your child promptly by 4 PM!

Jump Rope for Heart – Earth Day

Our students enjoyed participating in the Jump Rope for Heart event on Thursday, April 26th. Coach Wells did a wonderful job of planning and encouraging every student to be involved.

All of our students liked Earth Day activities shared by Vermont Academy. The students in grades 2-3-4 went to an animal presentation by the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum. Our younger students went on a Fairy House tour and had other projects in the afternoon. Thank you, Christine Armiger, for coordinating the day and including SRES.

Happy Spring Break!

We hope everyone enjoys the week away from school April 16 through 20. We will see everyone again on Monday, April 23.
